Our in-laboratory services:
BARRIERS, BALUSTRADES AND WIND HOARDINGS
AS 1657 (NATA Accredited)
Structural performance for guard railing, barriers, fencing and balustrades against barrier load actions and wind loads.
AS 1288 (NATA Accredited)
Structural performance for glass balustrades against barrier load actions.
AS 1926.1 (NATA Accredited)
Structural performance and repetitive actuation assessment for Pool Fencing and Swimming Pool Safety.
CLADDING, FACADE AND WALL PRODUCTS
AS 4040.1 (NATA Accredited)
Structural performance against foot traffic loads.
AS 4040.2 and AS 4040.3 (NATA Accredited)
Structural performance against non-cyclone wind loads and cyclone regions wind fatigue.
Using our purpose built equipment and test rigs we can perform testing up to huge test pressures of ± 32 kPa, allowing for versatile options to evaluate strength of various products and arrangements, and capacity to complete AS 4055 N and C tables.
Our cyclone regions fatigue testing can be carried out at rates of 1 to 3 Hz (1 to 3 cycles per second). With high speed data capture, performance metrics can be monitored real-time, or at determined intervals to give you extensive test data to populate load vs. deflection curves, span tables or other engineering requirements.
NCC Weatherproofing Verification Method F3V1
Weatherproofing performance for compliance with the National Construction Code for External Wall
We provide an easy testing solution and support on getting your product tested for compliance with the NCC. Ready-to-install stud frame arrangements mounted to our test chambers that include your typical interfacing details required for compliance. Couple this with strength testing against our AS 4040.2 static wind loads testing for thorough test documentation to satisfy weatherproofing and wind strength compliance.
AS/NZS 4284
Weatherproofing, structural, air tightness, seismic and BMU restraint performance for shopfront, facade, external wall and curtain wall.
AS/NZS 4284 is an excellent tool for performance Mock-Up testing of facade elements prior to the construction stage to give you assurance of performance and interfacing. We can facilitate AS/NZS 4284 testing within our laboratory up to a clear height of 7 metres and nominal widths of 8 metres. For larger mock-ups we can facilitate testing at client-premises, on-site or at available locations.
This include seismic testing at varying lateral displacements, velocity and frequency, air infiltration, structural deflection assessments at Serviceability wind loads and Ultimate wind loads, BMU restraint loading actions and watertightness testing.
DOORS, WINDOWS, SKYLIGHTS AND OTHER ENVELOPE PENETRATIONS.
AS 4420.1, SNZ TS 4211 and AS 2047
Structural deflection, operating force, torsional rigidity, air infiltration, water penetration and ultimate wind strength testing for external door and window products.
AS/NZS 4284
Weatherproofing, structural, air tightness, seismic and BMU restraint performance for high performance door and window products.
AS 4285
Concentrated load actions for foot traffic, non-cyclone regions wind load testing, cyclone regions wind fatigue testing and watertightness testing.
